Rooms are nice and comfortable and the location is great, right on the beach. Parking was a hassle though there was a free valet at times it felt chaotic. There was also some construction work on a nearby sewer that was noisy, though usually finished by 5 pm. Overall would stay again.

We stayed at the Kauai Shores Hotel for one week. I would not describe this as a resort, nor would I describe it as just a hotel. Somewhere in between. Horsort sounds wrong. Resortel? We had a kitchenette with two queen beds. There is a hot plate, microwave, full-size fridge, plates, and cutlery for four. The smaller and quieter of the two pools was right outside our door. Despite that, the room was very quiet -- I have never stayed in Kauai and not been woken up by roosters, and I did not hear much from other guests either. The room was nice and cool, and the blackout curtains worked. The restaurant was good, and it is right on the beach. One thing that is wonderful is that my daughter is lactose intolerant, and the bartender went out of their way to make a piña colada she could have. Bravo. The location of the Kauai Shores Hotel is great. We could walk to several places (including Vegetate -- do yourself a favor, and go there, whether you are vegan or not). It is a nice central location for forays to the North Shore and to the South/Waimea Canyon. You should be aware that they have a deficit of parking spaces, so there is free valet parking. You will probably need it, but it was convenient and easy, so you should not let that dissuade you.

We had a great experience at Kauai Shores Hotel. The property offers several nice perks, including complimentary bike rentals, easy access to nearby beaches and trails, valet parking, and an on-site laundry facility. The on-site restaurant, Lava Lava Beach Club, has a fun, hip vibe and is a great place to relax. Our room featured two queen beds and a small kitchenette, which added extra convenience during our stay. Parking can be a bit tight, but valet service makes it easy if needed. Most importantly, the staff was friendly and accommodating—they quickly helped resolve the two minor issues we encountered. Overall, a very enjoyable stay, and we would definitely consider coming back.

Great staff, attentive and kind staff. Awesome location if you're looking to be central and within walking distance of restaurants/excursion places/ other amenities. The beach is a lovely convenience, and it's nice that it's right off the property and easy to swim in or sit by. The bike path is awesome. Did not use the pools but saw lots of folks using that and the hot tub. When things are really busy you can feel how small the property is but for the price you pay the value is still there and great. The free valet parking is also helpful since non-valet parking spots can fill up quickly. Would definitely stay again.

Spent 8 days here and loved it! The property had so much to offer outside of your room including lawn games, multiple benches to sit at and enjoy a meal while listening to the ocean waves, live music every night, on site laundry, and more. The staff was all very kind and responded quickly to requests. Valet services were awesome as the parking lot got packed quickly. There was also a cute (and free) photo booth in the lobby. Would absolutely stay here again on my next visit to Kauai!

This was our second time visiting this little hotel, the last time was before it was renovated. The renovations were substantial and it shows. One of the big draws here is that the Lava Lava Beach Club sits right on the beach right behind the hotel. The other big plus is that it is also right next door to the Coconut Marketplace. This is a great little shopping area with a large ABC Store and many smaller shops including a Crazy Shirts Store. The ABC Store has pretty much everything you need and then some! It also had a great little place to buy some onoliscious breakfast, lunch, or dinner! The Kauai Shores is like a little secret hotel that gives big returns. The rooms are great, especially the ones right on the lawn just a short walk away from the beach. The personnel are great, especially the lady who checked us in, Novella. She was so typical of the lovely soft spoken, easy going hawaiian, but she was also the consummate professional in making sure we knew where everything was and who to contact if we had any questions. Our room had a Kieureg in it genuine Kauai Coffee pods, and if you need more, you just take a short was to the front and ask for some. I was a happy camper! If you visited the Kauai Shores Hotel, you really need to check it out, you won't be disappointed!
